Fincantieri Sundance 89.9-metre concept

Fincantieri’s latest 89.9-metre concept, designed by Gresham Yacht Design, has a host of features that makes the most of the available light.

From the ten-metre pool and panoramic gym on the sundeck, to the dedicated owner’s deck, and the strengthened glass area set into the sundeck that serves as a skylight, the Fincantieri Sundance concept is designed to blur the distinctions between inside and outside: the main deck aft, which features a hot-tub and waterfall feature, has a series of sliding panels that enclose the open areas, allowing guests to stay out a little longer. The full-height windows in the main salon rake slightly outwards, adding an enticing visual feature to the exterior. Fincantieri has engineered the yacht to Lloyd’s and MCA standards. Seymour Diamond created the interior.

With an aft-facing owner’s cabin on the dedicated owner’s deck, two VIP suites and four other guest cabins, there is room for 14 guests, looked after by 30 crew and staff. The beach club and sea terrace is amidships, featuring a sauna, steam room and massage area (an alternative layout has the beach club aft). Other features include a lower-deck hospital and a tank-deck cinema for ten people. The main deck boasts a hot-tub, and there is a big pool on the sundeck, where there is also has an enclosed gym with full-height windows and a sheltered space for dining. The touch-and-go helipad forward has capacity for an EC135. There are other hot-tubs specified for the beach club and the owner’s deck.
