BMT Nigel Gee and Henry Ward Design have unveiled Time, a collaboration between the two for a 66-metre explorer yacht.

One of the radical features of the yacht is the 18-metre ‘floating lodge’ aft, designed to blend in with the superstructure. In shallow waters the ‘lodge’ is launched as an independent platform for expeditions in harder to reach environments.

Accommodation on the smaller vessel is for an owner’s suite and guest cabin and open-plan living and dining area. The aft section of the lodge folds down for direct water access and interior/exterior living.

More high tech transport options abound on Time. Used for transporting both people and provisions, a drone housed in a hangar in the bow of Time can transport up to four guests at the touch of a button, with all piloting and navigation taken care of. A large viewing platform accessed via the sundeck stands 15 metres above sea level for unparalleled views.

For the daredevils, on the inner face of the Skydeck is an inverted climbing wall, which stands over the 8-metre swimming pool. On the wellness deck there is a gym, a massage room and a sauna. A bar area leads out to a terrace with a Jacuzzi and views forward over the bow. Time accommodates a full beam owner’s suite and three VIP cabins on the main deck. Entrance to the yacht is via a starboard side passerelle into the main salon with floor to ceiling windows and views aft through the glass walled swimming pool.

When the ‘lodge’ is not docked, a large protected splash pool is revealed in the beach club area. Folding doors open out to maximize the space, creating 190 square metres of entertaining space around the pool. Forward is a bar which leads through to the toy and tender garage.

BMT Nigel Gee has carried out an initial feasibility study for the naval architecture of the 66-metre yacht. Time is to be powered by a twin azimuthing drive system with a total power of 3000kW, achieving a cruising speed of 15 knots. At 12 knots she will have a range of over 5,000 nautical miles.
