The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is nearly here, and we've chosen five new yachts to look out for that are making their US debut.
1. Just J’s, Hakvoort
Why is she so special? Just J’s is the largest yacht to date to come out of the Dutch yard, and she is making her much-anticipated worldwide debut at FLIBS. Exterior and interior styling is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design. Launched late last year, she has been cruising almost non-stop with her owners in US waters.
Look out for The spacious guest accommodation. On the main deck there is a VIP suite and four guest cabins, which all benefit from main-deck-sized windows and view. One floor above is the owner’s deck with a private space forward, comprising a hot-tub and informal dining space, and a skylight above the bed.

2. Chasseur, Christensen Yachts
Why is she so special? After the reopening of the Christensen yard, there is a lot of interest in the two 50-metre yachts they have on display at the show (see also Silver Lining, below). Chasseur is fully MCA and LY2 compliant, and much has been made about her modern interior spaces and light colour scheme. Unusually, teak wooden floors are to be found throughout the inside of the yacht as well as in the exterior spaces.
Look out for The contemporary and welcoming interior. There is a warm, neutral palette, while huge windows flood the spaces with light.

3. Westport 125
Why is she so special? The latest example of Westport’s popular range of yachts. The 38-metre Westport 125 is the next generation of the American yard’s practically designed and well-appointed machines. The DNA of the familiar design is still visible among the sleeker curves of the new lines, and the bigger windows on the lower level offer guests more natural light and exterior views to wake up in the morning to.
Look out for The full-beam master cabin on the main deck, which features his’n’hers bathrooms and wardrobes. A further four cabins on the deck below mean she sleeps up to ten guests, although one of the cabins can be converted into an exercise room.

4. Eleonora III, Columbus Yachts
Why is she so special? New to the American market, Eleonora III makes her US debut at the show. The 40-metre superyacht is part of Columbus’ Sport Hybrid range, and should attract those looking to ease their carbon footprint. The interiors are a collaboration between Hot Lab Design and the owner, with an emphasis on warm materials and soft colours to encourage the flow of spaces.
Look out for The main salon – entry is past a custom bar and dining area to the main lounge space, which is framed by big sliding window and folding bulwarks. It’s an impressive space.

5. Astondoa 110 Century GLX
Why is she so special? The biggest yacht for the Spanish yard, who aimed to deliver a manageable vessel with superyacht features, and developed for comfortably entertaining groups of family and friends who want to enjoy the spaces together. There is plenty of space for water toys, and she delivers 24 knots at top speed with a cruise at 20.
Look out for The interiors by Cristiano Gatto, which assure superyacht quality.
