Must-see superyachts at the Singapore Yacht Show

The Singapore Yacht Show runs from the 6th to the 9th April 2017. One of Asia's largest yacht shows, it attracts many of the big players from around the globe, and

the boats have been steadily increasing in size over the past few years. Here is a selection of exciting yachts to keep an eye out for at the show.

Ocean Emerald, 41-metres, Rodriquez Yachts

The striking Foster+Partners 41-metre launched at Rodriquez Yachts in 2010 and enjoyed a supporting role in the remake of the film Point Break. The yacht is part of the Floating Life/Yacht Plus fractional ownership program that allows an owner to purchase an eighth share in a superyacht, giving access to the fleet of three similar yachts (Ocean Pearl and Ocean Sapphire are the others) with 30 nights annually on board split between the Mediterranean and Caribbean. The yachts have five suites for up to 12 guests with a crew of seven.

Silverfast, 77-metres, Silver Yachts

Fresh from the Dubai Boat Show is the yacht spotters’ favourite, the striking Silverfast. The fourth in the aluminium Silver series from Hanseatic Marine / Silver Yachts in Western Australia, with sleek, sporty lines from Espen Øino. A top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 20-22 knots makes this an ideal yacht for those who like to get places quickly.

Charley, 46-metres, Echo Yachts

Fresh from her launch at Echo Yachts in February is the 46-metre shadow support vessel Charley. The composite yacht is currently the largest ever built in Australia, although her mothership is set for delivery in early 2018, the 84-metre trimaran White Rabbit Golf, after which it is believed Singapore will become her home port. Charley features naval architecture from LoMocean, and is the largest composite resin infused vessel built in Australia.

Ambrosia, 65-metres, Benetti

The 65-metre yacht is a classic from the Italian yard, with strong, purposeful lines from Stefano Natucci giving her the yard’s signature DNA. Launched in 2005, the yacht sleeps 12 guests and 20 crew. Top speed is around 15.5 knots, and at a cruising speed of 11 knots she can travel 7000 nautical miles.
