The 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show, a four-day event organsied by the Greek Yachting Association in the historic port of Nafplion, proved to be the most successful ever, with over 90 yachts in attendance, including the 58.6-metre Lürssen Capri I shown by Burgess, and the 52.7-metre O’Neiro, shown by Atalanta Golden Yachts.

The event was officially opened by Elena Kountoura, Greek Minister of Tourism, Michael Skoulikidis, President of the Greek Yachting Association, Petros Tatoulis, Regional Governor of the Peloponnese, and Dimitris Kostouros, the Mayor of Nafplion. An opening cocktail reception took place at the Palamidi Fortress, with guests serenaded by the Fortissimo electric string quartet. Michael Skoulikidis took the opportunity to welcome attendees and to emphasise the importance of the show for the region and for all those involved in the yachting sector.

Attendees had the opportunity to view the impressive line-up of charter yachts, with Parsifal, Fraser, IYC, CSO Yachts and Yachtzoo among other brokers exhibiting yachts. The portfolio of events included a superyacht chefs’ competition, with Michelin-starred chefs Ettore Botrini and Lefteris Lazarou among the panel of judges. MYBA hosted a seminar on ‘MYBA & the East Med’, which was conducted by Fiona Maureso, the President of MYBA.

The event came to a close with a farewell party at Karathonas Beach, the presentation of the winners of the chefs’ competition, and a lively crew party.
