Dexa beach in Ithaca

Dexa Beach Ithaca: Dexa beach is separated from the port capital Vathy by about 1 kilometer. It is situated on the right of the port on the way to north Ithaca.

Dexa beach is one of the recipients of the Blue Flag – a recognition from the Greek National Tourism Organization due to its impeccable cleanliness and other necessary parameters. Dexa beach has olive trees offering a premium shade for the sunbathing population.
 
The seawater at Dexa beach is clear and bluish. The beach has lifeguards and is also accessible for people with disability. There is also a beach bar offering the odd drinks. Dexa beach is know for its pebbly coastline and coarse sand. There are not too many tourist amenities. Taking your own supplies to Dexa is always advisable.

Dexa beach has a gorgeous scene across the bay over the sea. The Cave of Nymphs is an excursion site situated close to it. Dexa beach is considered to be the site where Odysseus stopped after returning to Ithaca from the Trojan War. Parking vehicles is a bit problematic due to the shortage of space on the tapered road close to the beach.
