Marathonas is a small tourist resort located apx 4 kilometers from
Aegina town. Marathonas has a nice sandy beach which is is located under the main coastal road. It is well organised with umbrellas, sunbeds, tavernas, cafes and beach bars. The beach shore is narrow and the sea is crystal clear with a sandy bottom. Being one of the most popular beaches of Aegina, it is usually crowded during the weekends and the high season. There is plenty of vegetation between the road and the beach, providing shade.
