The water sports season has begun! 1,674 exhibitors from 63 countries will be presenting their new boat models and product innovations in 17 halls in all water sport disciplines - from fishing rods to superyachts - at the 44th boot Düsseldorf between 19th and 27th January 2013. 1,700 boats and yachts are moored at the big Düsseldorf harbour grounds..

boot 2013 is more international than ever before. Almost half (781) of the exhibitors are from overseas. The biggest exhibitor nations are the Netherlands, followed by Italy, France, Great Britain, Spain and Poland.

With sales markets flat in many parts of Europe, the international yachting and water sports business is pinning its hopes on the industry's leading exhibition event. The relatively stable German market and Europe's central exhibition venue are considered a safe harbour for firms and will ensure a good turnout in the halls of the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds.

"In these difficult economic times, we have remained on course, strengthening our position in the international exhibition market, attaining important goals, and charting a course for the future", says Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf. "The event has impeccable quality. At boot 2013 everything the international public might expect will be on show, especially in the boats and yachts segment. We have stabilised and further developed important sectors with success. We have also once more been able to allocate considerable funds to the advanced promotion of boot and for the mise-en-scène in the halls. This is recognised and respected by the industry and overall makes us their first choice."

The 893 German and 781 international exhibitors are confident about a positive outcome with German consumers willing to reach into their pockets, as well as approx. 50,000 high-calibre visitors from abroad which boot Düsseldorf can attract year on year.

In the halls, customers can expect a wide range of international brands in almost all sectors. There is a wide range of countries present. Great Britain, Finland, France, Netherlands, Poland and Hungary will be represented with country-specific shows as well as a multitude of individual stands.

At the heart of boot Düsseldorf are the boats and yachts, powered by sails, engines, even muscle power. In eleven halls, 440 shipyards, dealers and importers will be exhibiting a range of boat types which has no equal indoors, from canoes and dinghies to luxury yachts and floating relics.

With around 40 large and well-equipped yachts, boats and tenders from the high-end sector, the level of product offerings in the luxury segment in Hall 6 has stabilised. New or returning shipyards include Monte Fino, Marquis Yachts and Prestige. Amongst the very big yachts, Sunseeker, Princess and Ferretti offer a wide range of models and innovations. With the Princess 98’ motor-yacht, boot is making a return to the 30 metre class.

The market in on-board electronics, engines, accessories and clothing is well covered. Maintaining the value of existing boats is the hot topic of the day. In Halls 11 and 12, 360 international exhibitors offer everything you need and could possibly want to liven up boats or improve the comfort of furnishings.

The diving sport industry and providers of diving holidays are making their way to boot 2013 at full speed. In Hall 3, 350 exhibitors will be presenting new equipment, attractive diving holiday destinations, and also providing information about diving instruction and safety.

Thanks to the trend sports market in Halls 1 and 2 and the "Beach World" world of experience, boot has especially brought back young visitors. Industry and trade are also enthusiastic about the many possibilities for trying out trend sports in the indoor pool and other action zones. Around 80 exhibitors are represented in the world of trend sports, including almost all known surf sport and wakeboard manufacturers.

The boot 2013 maritime holiday market in Halls 13 and 14 will appeal to willing holidaymakers. Those of you looking for the right holiday destination for the summer, perhaps looking to charter a boat or learn how to sail are sure to find the right company amongst 300 international charter operators, travel agents, and tourist associations.

Under the motto "Experience 360° water sports", visitors can look forward to 16 event and themed worlds where they can experience water sports up close. Wakeboarding, skim boarding, paddle surfing, diving or canoeing- anything is possible!

The recreational fishing centre is being relaunched at boot 2013. This colourful world of experience of rods, reels and bait has a new sparkle with fresh ideas. There are ponds, streams and aquariums for trying out rods and bait. Jetties and grass banks and fishing huts create an ambience in which fisherman can feel at home.
