Day & Night Life in MYKONOS Featured
Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan places in the world, famous worldwide for its exquisite beauty and its day and night life. Life in Mykonos starts late in the morning, either by having breakfast in town, or by going directly to one (or more) of its marvelous exotic beaches, most of which have soft golden sand and transparent blue waters. In most of them there are one or more stylish beach bars - restaurants, where drinking and dancing starts in the late morning hours and continues untill the early morning of the next day! Most of them serve excellent food. The most popular beach restaurants are "Nammos" in Psarou beach and "Sol y Mar" in Kalo Livadi beach.
However Mykonos has also quiter and more traditional places, such as the marvelous Agios Sostis beach (which is not organised) and "Ano Mera" traditional village, famous for its "meat tavernas".
After swimming, many choose to watch the stunning sunset, by drinking a cocktail in the marvelous bars of the unique "Little Venice" in Town. In some of them, such as in the worldwide famous "Caprice" (one of the nicest bars in the world), dancing starts by the sunset and lasts all night long!
This is the reason why night life starts a bit late in Mykonos. However the town is full of people strolling and shopping all day.
Night usually starts with a stroll in the famous "Matogianni" pedestrian street (vehicles are not allowed in Mykonos town), which is one of the most expensive streets in the world, full of stylish boutiques, galleries and bars! There you'll see Greek and international celebrities, mixed with hundreds of tourists from all over the world, walking or having a drink in the numerous bars and watching the people passing by.
