GIALISKARI (YALISKARI) beach & settlement in KEA (TZIA)
Gialiskari is the most cosmopolitan beach in Kea, located in the large Agios Nikolaos bay, only at a 5min walk from the popular Vourkari and at apx 2km distance from Korissia (port). It is quite small but has sand, some patches of rocks, crystalline green-turqouise waters and a cozy beach bar playing music and serving cocktails and snacks. The bar is found at the far end of the beach and the other side is much quieter. The beach fills will people of all kinds (families with kids, youngsters etc) on the weekends and the high season. However when it is less crowded the beach is very attractive.
Behind the beach there is a small forest with tall trees that come down to the beach, making the scenery idyllic and providing shelter from the sun. There are a few sunbeds provided by the beach bar to its customers.
The beach is protected from most winds and the sea is usually calm. Moreover its location offers great sunset views. Despite the small size of the cove, there are often yachts anchored at Gialiskari and often visitors come there with tenders and smaller boats. Above the beach is the small settlement of Gialiskari (Yaliskari).
