Elia is one of the best beaches in Skiathos. Located the Mandraki area, where two more magnificient beaches are found: Xerxes port and Agistros (see separate listings). Elia is the biggest, lying in a shelterd bay. It also has a cosy kantina. On the left side of the beach it has shallow and safe waters. It is isolated therefore beautiful, but when the north winds blow it has waves. The landscape is more wild than the southern part of Skiathos but also more impressive. All these three bays are magnificent and impressive since you can see no land. If you want to access the them by road, you have to move in deeply through a lovely forest of pine-trees on sandly ground. It is easy to reach them on a motor-bike or by feet, since the road stops before the forest. The beauty of the area, the beautiful trip in the forest, the crystal-clear water and the peace and quiet will offer you one of the most enjoyable experiences. Some people are swimming nude, although it is not an official nudist beach.
