KORAKIA beach and islets in PORTO HELI, PELOPONESE Featured
Korakia is located oposite the Korakia islets, in an isolated area, where only a couple of luxurious villas are found. It is considered as the best beach (in fact they are two beaches) and anchorage in the area and therefore is one of the most popular yachting destinations. Visitors come to Korakia not only from the Porto Heli area but also from the Spetses island, which is very close.
The landscape is unspoiled and the waters are clean with impressive emerald colour. The shore is usually empty, since visitors are mainly yachters. The whole setting is very nice and pure but the sea shore and the sea bottom are not as attractive as in other Greek beaches. This is probably the reason why all visitors anchor with mooring lines in the southern part of the shore, where the transparent emerald waters are found and swim around there.
No need to say that there are no facilities near by, so you have to be equiped.
