Canados's 30-metre has been fully engineered, with a launch pegged for 2018
The engineering
for the 30-metre Canados 969 Coliseum has been completed. The hull mould is also ready and the deck and superstructure moulds will be finished soon, with the yacht set for launch next year.
Inside, the Canados 969 Coliseum has been designed with four and five-cabin options. On board each option, the master suite is on the main deck and comes with a split-level bathroom, as well as direct glass access to a private foredeck area (above). When at anchor, this spot can be shaded. On the lower deck there is the option of one full-beam suite and two guest suites, or two doubles and two twins.
On the main deck aft, the spaces has been designed to be used flexibly. Canados dubs this space “the veranda” and it can be closed for formal dining or left open for more casual alfresco dining. Floor-to-ceiling curved windows ensure the salon (below) is flooded with natural light. A Coliseum owner will be able to create his or her own interior décor in collaboration with Marco Casali as part of the package.
The Canados 969 Coliseum’s hull is vacuum infused, while the superstructure’s lamination will be in Kevlar/Aramat to lower the centre of gravity, making it easier for the standard gyro Seakeeper to stabilise the yacht. Standard engines will deliver an anticipated cruising speed of 23 knots and a 26-knot top speed.
