Editor's Note: Where East Meets West
After looking into the fixtures of two focal Mediterranean superyacht shows this September, it's clear to see that an exciting September showcase lies ahead with exciting new projects, the latest launches and updated classics preparing for global debuts and universal acclaim.
The MYBA Pop Up Superyacht Show - our first focal show of September taking place in the East Mediterranean - is returning for a second year on the 2nd. This stripped back version of a classic sales and charter show offers everything from a regional insight to a platform to discover each yacht that cruises the waters of Kotor Bay and beyond.
The superyachts at the show are not exactly your usual suspects. The varied range of cutting-edge, classically styled and distinctive sailing yachts on display offered up a quantifiable insight into the growing popularity of the region’s rich and natural cruising grounds as 21 yachts are set to attend out of the fleet cruising the Dalmatian Coast.
The second show in our sights - the calendar event so well covered in these notes that I feel a pang of déjà vu most weeks - takes places in the West Mediterranean at the close of September. I always look forward to looking over the list of yachts set to attend the Monaco Yacht Show, not to mention the brand-new launches of the year set for global debut.
What's more, is that as the guest list for the Superyachts.com Breaking News Centre builds, it's evident that there is an endless amount of ground to cover this year.
