Yachting Shanghai event cancelled as typhoon Chan-Hom approaches
Organisors of the 2015 Shanghai Yachting Festival, which kicked off on wednesday, have decided to cancel the last two days of the show, due to the approaching typhoon Chan-Hom. Typhoon Chan-Hom is bringing heavy rains and violent gales as it approaches the metropolis. Even though Chan-hom is on a weakening trend as it approaches Shanghai, it could still generate a storm surge along the East China Sea coast.
