This sailing yacht was built by Camper & Nicholsons in United Kingdom – the oldest leisure marine company in the world – she was delivered to her owner in 1967 and last refitted in 2018. This luxury vessel’s sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Laurent Giles. Construction is a multi-stringer system over mahogany frames with four layers of laminated mahogany and cedar planking all glued together and tightened by bronze woodscrews and rivets. The floors, mast girders and engine beds are of light alloy. Decks are composite foam sandwich and plywood with internal framing and teak laid. The whole emphasis in construction is light weight combined with high strength and robustness, achieved by efficient use of high quality material. The main saloon deck is a pleasant relaxing area, with wooden custom made varnished furniture and removable ceiling panels in white lacquer and comprises of a large settee and table, drinks locker, a cold cabinet, the library, TV and stereo equipment. She has sailed around the word twice, is powered by 2 Caterpillar (C7) 254hp diesel engines and is capable of a top speed of 16 knots with open sails while comfortably cruises at 11 knots, when powered by its engines.
