APOKROUSI (APOKRISI) beach in KYTHNOS Featured
Apokrousi (or Apokrisi) is one of the beast beaches in Kythnos. Many consider it as the second best in Kythnos, after the famous Kolona (and its near Fikiada), which are very close. Located about 3 kilometers away from Chora village, has a blue flag and is one of the largest beaches on the island, with thick golden sand, trees and marvelous blue azur waters.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Kythnos and of the West Cyclades. It's advantage is that is protected by the strong north prevailing winds and can be a great anchorage. It is not organised and is not very crowded. It has a traditional taverna.
It is located to the north of Port Merihas and after the cove Episkopi. The beach has one tavern onshore and it offers a lovely view of the sea. The nearest village to this beach is Chora village. There are several connecting buses to the beach from Merihas port. Taxis and motorbikes are also available for hire.
