PLATIA POUNDA beach on KOUFONISSIA
Platia Pounda Beach Koufonisia: Part of the Koufonisia quartet of islands i.e. Koufonisia, Pano Koufonisia, Kato Koufonisia and Keros, the Platia Pounda beach is located on the Pano Koufonisia. It is one of the popular beaches as it is basically a nudist beach although if you wear clothes you would not feel like a fish out of water! There are people who are dressed, semi dressed and not dressed at all milling about, enjoying themselves. Most beaches of the Cyclades have clean soft sand, stunning scenery and beautiful sunsets along with the Greek hospitality that is always warm and welcoming. There is even a volleyball net in the middle for the sporting enthusiasts. The Platia Pounda is also a good beach to be at when the Meltemi is blowing, that is the nasty north wind. The water is clear and swimming here is a wonderful experience.
