DRAGONERA MIKRI & MEGALI beach in AGISTRI Featured
Dragonera is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Saronic Gulf. It is an exotic, paradise-like beach with amazing emerald -green waters, nested in a lovely pine forest . The shore has large peebles and the sea bottom has rocks, peebles and large patches of sand.
Dragonera is unspoiled, not very crowded and offers a laid back atmosphere. It has straw umbrellas, sunbeds and a small cantina playing chilled music. Sometimes the cantina is closed. No other facilities are available near by.
Next to Dragonera lies Little Dragonera (Mikri Dragonera).
Dragonera is located approximately 4 km from Skala, on the western coast of Agistri. It is found in the middle of the road which connects Mylos (Megalohori) and Limenaria. It can be reached by car, bus or taxi and then through a short path which crosses a beautiful fragranced pine forest.
Dragonera is ideal for camping and is definitely one of the main attractions of Agistri.
ANCHORING IN DRAGONERA: Dragonera is not well protected as an anchorage and therefore it is not recommended for an overnight stay. However you may anchor there temporarily for swimming when the weather is calm. HOLDING -SEA BOTTOM: The bottom has rocks and some sandy patches with good holding.
Dragonera can be easily reached by tender (as long as it has a quite fast and reliable outboard engine) from the beautiful anchorage of Doroussa, (where most of the yachts anchor) and from Aponissos beach which has a nice taverna. The coastline from Dragonera to Aponissos is beautiful and has a couple of little picturesque coves, which can be also reached by a tender boat.
