BISTI beach & anchorage in HYDRA Featured
Bisti is one of the most charming beaches in Hydra, nested within a cove sourrounded by high and steep rocks and a lovely pine wood.
Bisti is a peebly beach with shallow crystal emerald waters and offers several facilities such as: Sunbeds, umbrellas, a small cantina (open only during the summer, in the daytime), watersports etc. The beach itself and the surrounding coves are ideal for snorkelling, diving and underwater fishing.
The area around Bisti is uninhabited and unspoiled, offering fine walks through the thick pine forest.
Bisti lies on the western coast of Hydra and you can reach it only by a boat. Caiques sail fairly regularly from Hydra's port (apx 30min) but you can always hire a sea taxi which is faster (10min) but more expensive.
ANCHORAGE INFO: Bisti is a small charming bay which is usually crowded with the tourists brought there with the caiques. It offers an organised beach with watersports and a small kantina, which is open in the summertime and only during the day. SHELTER: Offers shelter from North, Eastern, Northeastern winds. The very strong southeastern winds send a swell in.
