The 70-metre Feadship Joy, which launched last year, has joined Burgess's charter fleet, and is available in the Caribbean this winter, and in the Mediterranean next summer
Built for a first-time owner and delivered in July, the Feadship Joy features exterior styling by Bannenberg & Rowell and an interior by Studio Indigo. The Bannenberg & Rowell styling is bold and striking, with the extensive use of glass contrasting with the sculpted shapes of the superstructure.

All those floor-to-ceiling windows do more than just let natural light in: they play a key part in the flow between interior and exterior spaces, creating an indoor-outdoor living experience. Inside spaces lead seamlessly out to aft-deck areas through large glass doors, creating air-conditioned ‘winter gardens’. On the main deck aft, for example, a table for 14 provides dining sheltered from the elements while still enjoying uninterrupted views. Once opened up, the area extends into a great party space. On the owner’s deck, a similar arrangement affords an informal lounging area within the winter garden.
Inside there is accommodation for 12 guests across eight cabins. The master suite is forward on the private owner’s deck with his’n’hers bathrooms and 270˚ views through the panoramic curved windows. Two double guest cabins and the owner’s private lounge are also on this deck. There’s a full-beam VIP suite and two doubles on the main deck, and a double and twin on the lower deck. All five decks are linked by a cantilevered timber spiral staircase that wraps around a glass elevator.
The wide array of watersports facilities include two three-metre jet-tenders, an inflatable slide, waterskis, a wakeboard, tows, inflatable kayaks, snorkelling gear, fishing equipment and plenty of children’s water toys. The deck forward of the owner’s suite can also be configured for games, with a two-metre-high safety net, creating an outside sports area for volleyball, football and basketball. The sea-level beach club is designed to transform into a nightclub or party zone. Massage and beauty treatments are offered by the on-board therapist, and a spa area with steam room and shower is located on the lower deck. There’s a dedicated gym on the bridge deck aft. Guests are looked after by a crew of 17, including a Michelin-trained chef.
Joy charters for$700,000pw high season ($600,000pw low season) this winter in the Caribbean and €700,000pw high season (€600,000pw low) in the Mediterranean next year.
