The 102-metre Project Spectrum, designed by Nauta Yachts, is the latest concept from Oceanco
The 102-metre Oceanco Spectrum is a sleek beast from the board of Mario Pedol at Nauta Yachts. And that athletic poise is more than just looks – the 15.3-metre beam makes for a slender profile that, coupled with hybrid propulsion, makes for an efficient cruise. “Extensive investment in hull form research and development provides a refined hull shape which, when coupled with the hybrid propulsion system, enables Spectrum to cruise in a variety of efficient modes. She maintains a sleek, streamlined profile, which allows lower resistance through the water,” the yard says. She reaches a top speed of 18.5 knots with twin 1,440kW MTUs coupled with a 500kW electric motor.
Spectrum’s accommodation over five decks provides plenty of flexibility for guests. The design makes for a seamless flow between outdoor deck spaces and the interior. Light is another key aspect of Spectrum, with large windows and extensive balconies bringing the outside in.
The upper deck is given over to the owner with a panoramic view forward from the owners’ suite and access to a private spa pool and seating area. The forward deck is equipped with a touch-and- go helipad. Aft is an additional salon and bar area, which can form part of the owner’s private area or be opened to the other guests on board. The lower deck includes a wellness suite with sauna, steam room, beauty treatment area and massage rooms, with two terraces opening symmetrically port and starboard from the massage room and gym areas.
The Oceanco Spectrum is LY3 compliant. “She offers variety, flexibility and continuity. As with a rainbow, Spectrum is like a band of colours produced by subtle variations of wavelength. She is mercurial in how she offers so many possibilities,” says the yard.
