Tankoa Yachts is preparing to officially launch Vertige, its first 50-metre, early next month
The 50-metre Tankoa S501 Vertige was on the move last week at the Genoa shipyard, in preparation for her official launch in early March. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski inside and out, the yacht was sold in February 2015 to an experienced French owner and will be delivered in April.
She features a full-beam owner’s suite and VIP suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck, with a gym, home cinema, a seven-metre tender garage, and folding platforms off the main salon. The interior, by Francesco Paszkowski Design Studio in co-operation with Margherita Casprini, reflects the owner’s desire for a “modern but warm atmosphere”.
The all-aluminium Tankoa S501 Vertige delivers a projected range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots and a 16-knot top speed.
“We were working with a very tight contractual delivery schedule. The shipyard truly has a ‘Teutonic’ approach for an Italian builder that often leaves me speechless. I can say, after having supervised the construction of many yachts worldwide, that not only the work pace and productivity at Tankoa are superior, but it is also probably the first time I have seen a yacht of this size where the production schedule is fully respected without altering the incredible flexibility that Tankoa is known for,” says build engineer and owner’s representative Albert McIlroy.
“We are extremely proud that the client, his surveyor and broker, Daniel Bussani from Aquila Yachting, decided Tankoa was the most suitable shipyard to built his new yacht after investigating a number of European builders,” says Tankoa CEO Euro Contenti.
