The recently launched Bilgin 155 was photographed last week off the Turkish coast around Bodrum.
Giaola-Lu, which launched in April, had been handed over to her Mexican owner at West Istanbul Marina in July. She is set to appear at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. The colour scheme of a light grey steel hull and a white aluminium superstructure is striking, while the distinctive hull lines and axe bow are the work of H2 Yacht Design in conjunction with the Bilgin design team.
The owner wanted a focus on the outdoor living experience, and specified decks that could accommodate the full capacity of guests on the exterior for lounging, dining and partying. Guest spaces include four dining areas, four lounging areas, a glass-fronted Jacuzzi, two sunbed areas, and an expansive beach club. The yacht’s Castoldi jet-tender and two PWCs are stowed forward of the wheelhouse where the built-in crane makes them easy to deploy. A further tender garage houses a second Castoldi tender.
Giaola-Lu’s sky lounge is typical of the indoor/outdoor spaces that the owner was seeking, with a dining table that can be used alfresco or shaded by doors and curtains. The philosophy for the interior styling concept was to be contemporary, cosy and natural to meet the owner’s requirements.
Satin walnut, satin wenge and matt olive wood veneers have been used throughout the guest areas, along with local stone. Accommodation comprises four lower-deck guest cabins, a VIP cabin and and a main-deck owner’s suite. Giaola-Lu’s top speed will be around 16 knots. Bilgin recently started construction of its 80-metre.
